Christmas Adam Eve

Isn't it funny how the kids get out of school and parents stop working in an effort to spend more time with family, yet it seems to be the busiest time of the year?  We've had so much going on, it feels like we have a revolving front door and Brent and I only get to acknowledge each other's existence in passing.

Regardless, it's been fun.  The twinados had a performance at school which was so freaking cute.  And they had a Christmas party at school where I had another grateful-for-pinterest moment.  Look how cute these little reindeer donuts are!  My flash of room-mommy brilliance was quickly doused in pee when we realized Wyatt had an ear infection so severe that it resulted in a ruptured ear drum.  Trophy for me!

Separately, we took the kids shopping to pick out presents for each other which is always one of my favorite parts of Christmas.  This year, I took Callie who already knew without a doubt that she wanted to get Wyatt a stuffed hippo.  We found one that sings "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas...", which is also his very favorite song.  It's awesome.  She's having a really tough time keeping the secret because it's so unbelievably perfect for him. Last year, she told me within 30 seconds of walking through the front door with daddy that he had bought me some earrings. This year so far, she's making progress.

Brent took Wyatt shopping and just like last year, he couldn't focus at all.  He gets so excited looking at all the toys with buttons, like a squirrel in a sea of nuts.  Little guy.  It was so bad in fact, that they ended up leaving and going back the next day after he had put some thought into it.  He picked out a makeup set which I'm sure she'll love.

Anyway, Uncle Binky is in town with my furry niece and more family arrives tomorrow, on Christmas Adam.  Today, we've been busy chiseling the gross off this house so our company doesn't feel like they need hazmat suits to stay here.  Here are some more fun pictures from last few days:

What a cute Grandniece!!!! We still take the kids to buy for each other and they love it! They seem to know better than me what to get each other.
