Two things... first, Monkey started clapping yesterday. I mean, he was probably supposed to be doing that months ago, but I'm very proud none-the-less. Wyatt is an over-analyzer, just like me. He puts way too much thought into everything which unfortunately just complicates the easiest of tasks. Either that, or the kid has no hand-eye coordination which is dampening my dreams of him winning the Heismann or whatever the big baseball and soccer awards are called. I'm hoping it's just the first reason... but if it's the second one, I'm responsible for that gene too.

Anyway, yesterday at breakfast, he stuck one hand firmly out in front of him like he was thinking about karate-chopping one of the cheerios on his tray. Then slowly brought his other hand to meet the hand that was frozen in front of him. When he realized he had actually clapped, the look on his face was so cute. He is seriously HIS biggest fan! After that, he clapped all day... always with one hand steady while he smacked the other one against it.

The second thing made me realize that the kids are picking up on words and stuff better than I thought. So, all the preschool-unfriendly language in the house needs to come to a screeching halt! Callie has been kind of cranky and clingy the last couple of days and she is constantly crawling on me, up me, and over me to get me to hold her where she can bury her face in my neck. Well, I was sitting on the floor yesterday when Callie came over to pull her self up on my shirt and she grabbed a huge and painful handful of... well... boob. Ahem. I grabbed her hand quickly and yelled at her (mostly for myself), "Ouch! Callie! That was my freaking boob!" No joke, the kid looked me square in the eye and said, "Boob."

Oops.

Here's a picture of her helping me with the laundry yesterday while Wyatt was taking a nap. She really did too! She pulled things out of the basket and handed them to me one by one and then she also helped me to push the laundry basket towards the laundry room. The crazy thing about it all was the she really did understand that she was helping me and she was trying to help me. She's going to make my heart explode one day because I have way too much love for that runt. Wyatt too. My cup runeth over and then some!

P.S. - What is up with American Idol this year? It's so boring!
