Happy Halloween!

For me, watching the kids trick-or-treat is absolutely the very best part about Halloween. However, carving pumpkins with a fuzzy Breont, comes in a very close second! The kids were on us about carving pumpkins from the second they woke up so we were literally drinking our morning coffee while scooping out pumpkin guts. Callie was ridiculous. She's divalicious!

She was hell bent on having a scary pumpkin although I tried my hardest to talk her into something sweeter like a kitty cat or something. She's wasn't having it. This was how it turned out in the end with a perfect little W and C signature design by Callie on the chin. (She signed it for Wyatt and herself, and I carved it.)

Brent took hours to design and carve his piece de resistance. I was so excited and tried not to look at it too much until the end. I fell out when I saw the nose! This dude! I swear he hatched out of an psychedelic looking egg on a planet beyond this solar system, and was some how transported to Earth. What's even crazier, is that I sniffed him out and then married him! Wtf. But to be completely honest, being around Brent in his "creative" state is my perfect happy place.

The eyes are 'W's for Wyatt and Wiley (Brent's middle name). The nose is an upside down Mickey Mouse. Lets not forget the "lucky gap" between the front teeth signifying that it's a nympho pumpkin. He's a nut. I do have to say though, his carving skillz seem to step up a notch every year. Anyway, on to trick-or-treating!

The kids were absolutely adorable and even Brent called me from the road this morning to tell me how he couldn't stop thinking about the kids and how cute they were or how Wyatt beat down doors and peeked in windows until someone would answer. Definitely great memories! Wyatt was so funny and took a break halfway through "to sit in the wagon for awhile and eat." Stinker. They are growing up so fast! I feel like they are about to graduate highschool or something and I just need it to slow down!

What a little diva...you're right! And those sad puppy dog eyes when she asked Daddy to do it for her...oh my! The pumpkins look great, and I love Brent's creativity!
