So, the little dude might lose his other tooth too. The dentist took an x-ray and discovered that the other big tooth and the one next to that were damaged and loose. He's on a soft food diet for two weeks in hopes that his other big tooth will tighten up and he will get to keep it. Luckily, he thinks he looks cool with a missing tooth. I kinda do too.
Anyway, I thought I'd take the time to do a little post about random Wyatt things. He is such a genuinely sweet kid with an empathy that is so intense, it's hard for him to differentiate his emotions versus others around him. He's definitely all boy but extremely sensitive too. He's a pessimist and will turn on the waterworks at the drop of a hat.
But the kid is funny as hell. I love his sense of humor. This is his favorite billboard:
He thinks the old guy making a silly face is hilarious. He loves it so much that I had to take a picture of it just in case they took it down. Unfortunately, they did end up taking it down, but it turned up again on an electronic billboard close to his school. I've even pulled over and waited for the billboard sequence to show him his old guy. It tickles him to pieces.
Last week, he renamed me 'Oma Delicious'. Seriously? Freaking Oma Delicious. I swear he must have a stash of psychedelic mushrooms in his bedroom. About a year ago, he was having a hard time falling asleep so I told him to close his eyes and imagine himself climbing into a spaceship and flying up past the moon, and even past the stars. Then, I told him to dream about it and let me know what he saw past the stars. In the morning he woke me up excitedly screaming, "I know what's past the stars! Stacks of pigs with big booty holes!"
W. T. F.
He also has an imaginary friend named Buecher. Buecher has a twin brother named Superhero. He talks to Buecher through an imaginary phone. Buecher and Wyatt only talk on the phone every couple of weeks, but it shocks me to the core to listen to the kid pick up his conversation with Buecher right where he left off.
There are still a few words that the crazy critter doesn't say perfectly. Dessert is ressert. Spaghetti is p-sketti. Ear phones are ear moms. He also says that why's instead of that's why. He has a hard time pronouncing words that begin with the 'Th' sound and replaces it with 'F' instead like firteen, and fink. It's even cuter to listen to him now with the missing tooth.
When he grows up, he wants five kids: three boys named Jacob, Jonathan, and Red (Red? Really?), and two girls named Cupcake and Cookie. He always says, "I'm gonna let them do whatever they want". But I'm hoping that he at least won't let Cupcake and Cookie become strippers.
