Animal Kingdom & Gaylord Palms

We got home from Disney on Friday... just in time for me to be sick as a dog for two days and then to have to get up and rally for another two weeks of being a single mom. I've been doing this alone thing too much and I'm done with it.

Anyway, to backtrack for a second, we went to the Animal Kingdom on Thursday. The kids had been looking forward to seeing giraffes and hippos (their favorite animals) the entire week. They loved every minute of it but my favorite memory of the day was going on a rapids ride and seeing Wyatt and Brent get soaked. Callie and I were sitting on the opposite side and only got a little wet. She wasn't amused by the ride at all and said, "Coggie not like it. Now Coggie all dirty." And she had a look that could kill on her face. Wyatt on the other hand, who was drenched to the bone was screaming, "FUN! FUN! Do it again!?!?" We were dying laughing at the kid.

After that, we went to Gaylord Palms for this thing called ICE. It was probably my favorite part of the entire trip. The whole thing was ice sculptures and you had to wear parkas the whole time because it was minus 9 degrees in there. It was stupid cold to the point where some people's shutters were freezing on their cameras. I had never seen anything like it before and the ice slide was the highlight. The kids loved it but even Brent and I tore down those things like penguins on crack. They gave out hot chocolate at the end too. It was precious.
