Over the weekend, we went to a pumpkin patch. It was in Jesup, GA which was out in the middle of nowhere and so sketchy that, at points, I debated on whether or not to turn around and go home. It was straight up like Deliverance and the GPS navigated us through crazy backwoods dirt roads to get us there. I thought all four of us would all be scalped and squeezed into moonshine by some three-toothed slackjaw fo' sho!
Turns out, the pumpkin patch was actually really cute and pretty busy. Infact, it was cute enough for me to want to go back next year despite the 1.5 hour drive. I kid you not though, as we rolled up, blasting out of the sound system was a twangy country music song called "
I'd like to check you for ticks!"
Hee Haw ya'll!

Is it bad if I own the "check you for ticks" song as an MP3?
In grad school in NJ as soon as people learned I was from Georgia, the next question they always asked was, "Have you seen Deliverance?" I told them I pretty much didn't leave suburban Atlanta. At least you didn't see any banjos -- scary stuff!!
