After that, we drove over to the Charleston Tea Plantation which is the only working tea plantation in the entire United States. I didn't know what to expect but it was actually pretty cute. The little tea shop was precious and the actual factory was super nice and clean. Wyatt showed his enthusiasm for the joint by dropping his cup of peach iced tea all over the floor.
The kids liked looking in the windows and seeing all the gadgets working and grinding and stuff but it was still a pretty old lady thing to do. So, I let them go wild because it wasn't crowded at all. When we left, the lady in the tea shop said, "I could hear how excited your kids were about the factory tour!" Oops!

Wasn't the tree pretty amazing? You're right, it is pretty gnarly. I know the Tea Plantation isn't much, but it's kinda cool that it's the only one in America. Pretty simple process to make tea, huh? Does it make you want to grow your own? Paul's mom wants to do this herself...too bad the climate in NY wouldn't allow for it.
