We didn't do anything over Labor Day weekend. I think that we were all drained from the trip to Atlanta so we just lazed around a lot. We didn't even go to the beach but we did eat a lot and watch a lot of football. Brent snuck away with my dad on Saturday to see the Citadel game in Charleston and had fun. That's really about it.
Yesterday and today have been up and down with this lingering hurricane. I wish it would take a crap or get off the pot because one minute I'm at Lowe's stocking up on flashlights and batteries, and the next minute I'm trying to plan dinner for company on Friday night. Believe it or not, my parents have already boarded up their house as have a bunch of other houses in their neighborhood too. No one in our neighborhood has even bothered.
Anyway, when I said I've been lazy this week, that includes not taking any pictures of the kids. But, here are some cute ones of Callie I took last week right before we left - which reminds me that I wanted to jot down some of her cute slang. It only takes a day or two and Wyatt picks them up from her too. He's not interested in learning words that we try to teach him... just from Callie.
"reez" - raisins
"leddle-leddle-lee" - cockadoodledoo
"Wy Wy" - Wyatt
"peas" - please
(sniffing sound) - flower
"reen" - rain
"ma'am-ma" - banana
"arn-sh" - orange
"bopple" - apple
(zooming around motion and landing in her mouth) - airplane

Very cute - I love her words! Stay safe as the storms come through. We've just got lots of "reen" right now.
