1/2 - 1 lb. hot italian sausage
2 large baking potatoes - 1/4 inch slices, then sliced in half
1 large onion, chopped
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cans chicken broth
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 cups kale, chopped
1 quart water
Place onions, potatoes, chicken broth, water, and garlic in a pot. Cook on medium heat until potatoes are done. Add cooked sausage, bacon, salt and pepper to taste, and simmer for another 10 minutes. Turn to low heat and add kale and cream. Heat through and serve.
Don't make fun of me for being dorky and posting a recipe until you try it. TRUST ME! This soup is the best ever and worth the effort. Brent and I can eat a whole pot in one sitting!

This is my husband's favorite soup from Olive Garden. My youngest loves it also. I can't wait to try this recipe and surprise the two of them. Now to find the breadsticks.
Smiles!
I'm so glad I found this thru BooMama! My husband was telling me just last night this is one soup he wishes I could make!
(Definitely saving this!)
Thanks. I have this one. Stop by for my chicken velvet soup.
